Alisha back after F1 rehearsals

LUDHIANA: Alisha Walia, the face of Indian F1 team, returned to the city after her rehearsals for the Formula 1 Indian Grand Prix that will be held at Greater Noida from October 28 to 30 to celebrate Diwali with family and friends.
What excites Alisha is the fact that even the people who watch 'saas-bahu' soaps are taking interest in the eagerly awaited Indian Grand Prix.Many have even got in touch with her asking if she could get them tickets for one of the most sought after international sports events.
The city lass is spending time with friends at her favourite hangouts in the city and shopping with friends prior to the festival. Her mother, Reeta Ahluwalia, feels the road to success hasn't been too easy for her daughter, who proved that even the girls from small cities can make a mark in glamour world.
A resident of BRS Nagar, Alisha, said she rehearsed with the F3 team from UK and the show was compered by Diya Mirza. She even got a chance to dine with Vijay Mallya and Subroto Roy.
She likes being addressed as speeding diva of adventure sport, said the damsel, who is anxiously waiting for the Race day.
Alisha considers herself blessed to be chosen for the mega event as she is witnessing the craze for the race is immense among Indian youths. She would leave for the event on October 27, a day before the practice starts on tracks.
Reeta, a homemaker herself, said her daughter has answered the people who advocate a teaching or office job for girls. She has made Ludhianvis proud by her feat, added Reeta.
